Gail joined the staff of St John’s in 2008 as the bookkeeper. She and her husband, Rev Jimmy Pfahl are members of Chandler Acres Baptist Church in Bellevue, where Jimmy is the Associate Pastor. They have 4 children, Cheri, Autumn and twin boys, Jason and David. All together her children have blessed them with 11 grandchildren.
Gail has been involved in many different ministries over the years, starting with, rocking babies in their church nursery for 12 years to serving as the Office Administrator and bookkepper of the church she and her husband, along with 4 other couples, had the honor of starting.
Before coming to St John’s she volunteered as a bookkeeper for one of their sister churches, and in 2007, her husband was asked to Pastor one of their intercity churches in Omaha, which they did for 3 years.
Aside from serving in ministry she loves the outdoors, so they fill their summers camping with their children and grandchildren and bike riding.
Gail says it’s a pleasure and a blessing to be serving at such a wonderful church as St John’s.
Mrs. Cloudt earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education and Early Childhood Education from Midland Lutheran College in 1993 and a Master of Arts in Curriculum and Instruction from Doane College in 2003. She has previously taught 6th grade in the Omaha Public School district and spent two years as an Intermediate Instructional Facilitator in OPS as well. Mrs. Cloudt also serves as an Adjunct Instructor of Graduate Education at Doane College during their summer terms.
Nicole and her husband, Jason, live on a farm outside of Kennard. They have two children, Norah, nine years old and Judson, five years old. Norah attends third grade at South Primary in Blair and Judson is in the K-Prep class here at Kid’s Kingdom. They enjoy spending family time at their farm, visiting the Henry Doorly Zoo, and frequenting local parks. The Cloudts are members of St. Mary’s Episcopal Church in Blair.
Jan Braden, St. John’s Director of Music, has been a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church for 15 years. She and her husband Kevin have two sons, Michael, age 28, and Matthew, age 20. They also have a 9 month-old granddaughter, Kensington. Jan grew up in South Dakota, has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Augustana College in Sioux Falls, SD, and has been in the Omaha area since 1980. After college, she was the Instrumental Music Director at West Point Public Schools, West Point, NE for three years. She also spent 8 years at the Joslyn Art Museum, where she organized musical events, such as Bagels and Bach, and started Jazz on the Green. Since 1994, she has served as the Executive Director of the Omaha Area Youth Orchestras. In addition, she maintains a small piano studio in her home.
Jan currently serves on the Liturgical Worship Committee and the Building Committee, heads the Contemporary Worship Team and has served for 10 years on the St. John’s Council. In addition, she leads St. John’s Praise Band, Exultation, and the Jr. Praise Band, Joyful Noise.
Jacquie Dugan is enjoying her second year as a teacher at Kid’s Kingdom Preschool. She teaches a morning and afternoon section of four year-old classes this school year. Mrs. Dugan earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education and Early Childhood Education from Midland Lutheran College in 1996. She has spent the last thirteen years at home raising her three children. Jacquie and her husband, Matt, have a fourteen-year-old daughter, Leah, a ten year old son, Nathan, and a six year old daughter, Andrea. Andrea is a Kid’s Kingdom “alum!” She started kindergarten this year and now goes to school with her brother and sister who are in fourth and seventh grades respectively. They attend St. James Seton Catholic School in Omaha. The family stays very busy with extracurricular activities such as dance, volleyball, soccer, football and swim team. The Dugans enjoy anything water-related such as swimming, water-skiing, or the occasional trip to the water park.
Ms. Mindi teaches morning and afternoon three year olds at Kid’s Kingdom. She is married to Darin and they are parents of five children whose ages range from 22 to 8! The Gansebom’s moved to Bennington in 2005 and love the small town feel. Ms. Mindi has a Business Adminstration degree from UNL and is currently working towards a degree in Education from UNO. While attending many of her childrens’ activities takes up much of her time, she still is active within the school system and community. Ms. Mindi enjoys running and the outdoors. She is also a member of St. Patrick’s Church in Elkhorn. She joined our staff in 2010.
Ms. Elizabeth works in the preschool office and started with Kid’s Kingdom in 2011. She moved to Bennington in 1994 and has two children, Madison, 17 and Jack, 14. Both attend Bennington High School. Elizabeth is a business entrepreneur. Her businesses have allowed her to stay at home with her kids for over 16 years. In addition to owning her own businesses, Elizabeth has worked at Elkhorn Public Schools, Bennington Public Schools, and OPS. She and her kids love being outdoors as much as possible and life on the farm is very rewarding. Her family loves to cook and travel. They are members of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Bennington.
Ms. Kim earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education and Early Childhood Education from the University of Nebraska at Omaha in 2002. She has previously taught kindergarten in Omaha Public Schools and substitute taught in several area school districts. Kim and her husband, Jason, have lived in Bennington for six years. They have three daughters: McKenzie, a second grade student at Pine Creek, Hannah, a first grade student at Pine Creek, and Lily who is in Ms. Jacquie’s four year-old class here at Kid’s Kingdom. They enjoy going on vacations, camping, canoeing and fishing in Minnesota. Ms. Kim and her family are members of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Elkhorn.
Ms. Hilary teaches our three year-old classes on Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings here at Kid’s Kingdom. She is married to husband, Nick, and they have four children: Ella – 11, Gus – 9, Annabelle – 6, and Beckett – 3. Hilary ran an in-home daycare for six years while she raised her children. Their love for sports and the outdoors keep them a very busy family! The Cemers are members of St. John’s Lutheran Church and live in Bennington. Ms. Hilary joined our staff in 2011.
