My name is Amy Dahmke and I am excited to introduce myself as the Director of Preschool for St. John’s Lutheran Church in Kid’s Kingdom! I offer the church over 10 years experience in the field of early childhood education. I look forward to meeting you and working in the classrooms throughout the school year! When I am not serving our littlest learners in Kid’s Kingdom I enjoy spending time with my husband Brent and our two children, Ava and Owen.
Jan Braden, St. John’s Director of Music, has been a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church for 15 years. She and her husband Kevin have two sons, Michael, age 28, and Matthew, age 20. They also have a 9 month-old granddaughter, Kensington. Jan grew up in South Dakota, has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Augustana College in Sioux Falls, SD, and has been in the Omaha area since 1980. After college, she was the Instrumental Music Director at West Point Public Schools, West Point, NE for three years. She also spent 8 years at the Joslyn Art Museum, where she organized musical events, such as Bagels and Bach, and started Jazz on the Green. Since 1994, she has served as the Executive Director of the Omaha Area Youth Orchestras. In addition, she maintains a small piano studio in her home.
Jan currently serves on the Liturgical Worship Committee and the Building Committee, heads the Contemporary Worship Team and has served for 10 years on the St. John’s Council. In addition, she leads St. John’s Praise Band, Exultation, and the Jr. Praise Band, Joyful Noise.
Ms. Elizabeth works in the preschool office and started with Kid’s Kingdom in 2011. She moved to Bennington in 1994 and has two children, Madison, 17 and Jack, 14. Both attend Bennington High School. Elizabeth is a business entrepreneur. Her businesses have allowed her to stay at home with her kids for over 16 years. In addition to owning her own businesses, Elizabeth has worked at Elkhorn Public Schools, Bennington Public Schools, and OPS. She and her kids love being outdoors as much as possible and life on the farm is very rewarding. Her family loves to cook and travel. They are members of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Bennington.
