Quilters in Action
Purpose:
Quilter’s in Action are a group of ladies who enjoy getting together to cut, sew, surge, and tie quilts. We often hand quilt a special quilt for the Camp Carol Joy Auction quilt show. We also make lap robes and all sized of quilts. We use our leftover pieces to make rolled bandages for the Lutheran World Relief.
A partial list of where we donate our items to area hospitals, homeless shelters in Omaha, the Open Door Mission, Lydia House, the Camp Carol Joy Holling quilt auction, The Omaha Baptist Center, Lutheran World Relief, Kids Kingdom Preschool and Kingdom Quest Sunday School at our church, lap robes to those that are in need. There have been many other places we have donated to, unable to list all of them.
Please, all are welcome to come and join us in creating comfort and warmth for all of God’s people who are in need.
Regular Meeting Times:
We meet monthly, the second Tuesday, for one half day and the Monday that precedes it all day. Both days begin by 9 am. We meet in the church fellowship hall.
