Stephen Ministry is our congregation’s one-to-one caregiving ministry.  Men and women Stephen Ministers visit their care receivers regularly and dependably.  They are committees to preserving the confidential nature of the caring relationship.

 

What is a Stephen Minister?

A Stephen Minister is:

  • A Christian who want to help others.
  • A caring friend who listens.
  • A lay person who receives 50 hours of training in how to provide distinctively Christian care.

 

Who is helped by a Stephen Minister?

People who are/have:

  • Terminally ill
  • Hospitalized
  • Job crisis
  • Grieving a death
  • Aging and elderly
  • Birth/adoption
  • Empty nesters
  • Life transitions
  • Divorced/separated
  • Prisoners and family
  • Relocation
  • Disability
  • Institutionalization
  • Spiritual crisis
  • Support of a Christian friend
  • Other needs
